Carnival Adds Eastern Caribbean Option to Galvaston
MIAMI, March 26, 2008 -- Galveston cruisers will soon have the option of an Eastern Caribbean itinerary that includes the popular ports of Key West, Freeport and Nassau. Starting February 2009, Carnival Conquest will add this new seven day itinerary once a month to complement the ship's existing Western Caribbean schedule, which makes stops in Montego Bay, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; and Cozumel, Mexico.
Carnival Conquest to Host 4th Mind/Body Cruise in December
MIAMI, April 18, 2007 -- The fourth annual "Mind/Body Cruise" will be held on Carnival Conquest this December 2 - 9, 2007. The seven-day cruise aboard the 2,974-guest ship will operate round-trip from Galveston, Texas, and call at Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, and offer guests a rejuvenating experience through a variety of fitness, nutritional, and wellness classes and seminars.
Carnival Conquest to Be Shifted From New Orleans to Gulfport.
MIAMI, March 4, 2003 - Carnival Cruise Lines will shift its cruise ship Carnival Conquest from its current homeport of New Orleans to Gulfport, Mississippi, for at least the next six weeks commencing this Sunday, March 9, 2003. The repositioning is necessitated by rising water levels in the Mississippi River, which combined with low hanging power lines down river from the Port of New Orleans, pose a potential safety issue for the Carnival Conquest.
