SILVER CLOUD MAKES FIRST TRANSATLANTIC CROSSING; CELEBRITIES JOINGUESTS ON GALA MAIDEN ARRIVAL IN NEW YORK

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Sept. 19 -- A stellar cast of
Broadway and Silver Screen stars will be sailing aboard Silver
Cruises' Silver Cloud, the newest cruise ship in the ultra-luxury
market, on her maiden transatlantic voyage. The vessel will arrive
September 20 in New York for the first time, amid a gala welcome.

Silversea Cruises is calling Silver Cloud's first crossing the
Coming to America voyage -- in celebration of the 19th century
immigrant's voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. Acclaimed celebrities
will be onboard to be a part of the program and entertainment, as
well as to trace their own immigrant roots.

Among those to be featured are Oscar winner Cliff Robertson; Eli
Wallach, who starred in such Broadway plays as "Mr. Roberts" and
"Antony and Cleopatra"; Anne Jackson, award-winning stage actress
and star of such films as "Lovers and Other Strangers"; Charles
Durning, known for his role in "Tootsie"; Barnard Hughes, star of
"Da"; book authors Gay and Nan Talese, Carol Kane, of "Hester Street"
and television's "Taxi"; and Peter Reigert, from "Crossing
Delancey."

"The voyage will impart the thrill of sailing into New York Harbor
past the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island after Silver Cloud
guests have been steeped in the immigrant experience for eight days,
although this time in ultimate luxury aboard the most elegant
addition to the world's cruise fleet," said John P. Bland, president
of Silversea.

THE ULTIMATE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE

Launched in April 1994, the vessel features exceptionally large,
all-suite accommodations that feature, in most cases, private
verandas.

Silverseas's all-inclusive policy extends beyond the usual cruise
line features of air fare, dining, transfers, baggage handling and
the like to include all gratuities, complimentary alcoholic and non-
alcoholic beverages, port charges, pre-cruise deluxe hotel stay and
more. A "Silversea Experience," a signature of the cruise line, is
offered on every itinerary as an included feature in the form of a
special shore event exclusive to guests.

Silver Cloud will begin her 1994-95 American season on September
21, with a foliage sailing to Canada followed by a cruise visiting
what was once Colonial America. Later cruises will visit South
America and the Caribbean, including transits through the Panama
Canal.
