Carnival Cruise Lines Takes Delivery Of Superliner Inspiration

HELSINKI, Finland, Feb. 22 -- Carnival Cruise Lines today took
delivery of its newest SuperLiner, the MS Inspiration, in ceremonies at
Kvaerner Masa-Yards in Helsinki, Finland, where the ship was built.

The $270 million, 70,000-gross-registered-ton vessel is slated to depart
Helsinki tomorrow en route to Miami, Florida, where she will make her
inaugural cruise.

Prior to entering service, the Inspiration will be the venue for an
overnight cruise fundraiser to benefit the United Way of Dade County and the
Miami City Ballet. Gloria and Emilio Estefan are serving as Honorary
International Chairs for that event.

The Inspiration's inaugural voyages will include two Panama Canal cruises,
one departing Miami on March 22 and another departing San Francisco April 13
(or guests may board in Los Angeles April 14). Following that, the ship will
commence a year-round schedule of seven- day cruises to the southern Caribbean
from San Juan, calling at St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; St. Maarten,
Netherlands Antilles; Dominica and Barbados, West Indies; and Martinique,
Lesser Antilles.
