Royal Caribbean Adding Two New Far East Itineraries In 1997

MIAMI, Feb. 13 -- Royal Caribbean Cruise Line announced today
that it will add two new 15-night Far East itineraries next year to its
current program of five different 13- and 14-night cruise vacations in the
region. The new itineraries for 1997 reflect a refinement of the current
program from guest feedback which indicates that the cruises offered this
year, Royal Caribbean's first in the Far East, are being well-received. Royal
Caribbean is the largest cruise line ever to offer year-round cruises in the
Far East.

In 1997, the new 15-night "Emeralds of the Far East" cruises to Thailand,
Malaysia, Vietnam and China will sail between Hong Kong and Bangkok, with a
two-day call directly into Ho Chi Minh City. The new 15- night "Diamonds of
the Orient" will sail between Bangkok and Singapore to Thailand, Malaysia and
Indonesia, offering a full two-day call in Bali as a highlight. Both
itineraries benefit from the inclusion of an overnight hotel stay in Bangkok
prior to or immediately following the cruise. The hotel stay includes
breakfast, a two and a half hour guided city tour and transportation to/from
the ship's dock in Laem Chabang outside Bangkok.

"Our year-round Far East cruises with Sun Viking have been exceptionally
well-received," said Rod McLeod, Royal Caribbean's Executive Vice President of
Sales, Marketing and Passenger Services. "We're always looking to improve our
vacations and incorporate guest feedback in our decision-making process.
We've learned our guests want even more options from which to choose and, as a
result, we're adding two new itineraries in 1997 to our roster of five
different vacations in 1996."

The 15-night "Diamonds of the Orient" sails both northbound and southbound
between Bangkok and Singapore. The southbound cruise from Bangkok to
Singapore visits Ko Samui and Songkhla, Thailand; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia;
Borobudor, Surabaya and Bali (a two-day stay), Indonesia. The northbound
cruise visits the same ports in reverse order. Southbound cruises depart
February 8, July 12 and December 20, 1997. Northbound voyages leave January
26, June 29 and August 10, 1997. Cruise-only prices begin at $1,999* per
person and low-cost air add-ons are available from many North American gateway
cities.

The 15-night "Emeralds of the Far East" cruises sail both northbound and
southbound between Bangkok and Hong Kong. The northbound cruise from Bangkok
to Hong Kong visits Ko Samui and Songkhla, Thailand; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia;
Singapore; Ho Chi Minh City (a two-day stay), Nha Trang and Hue, Vietnam; and
Canton, China. Southbound cruises from Hong Kong to Bangkok visit the same
ports but in reverse order. The northbound cruise departs August 23, 1997 and
the southbound cruise leaves December 7, 1997. Cruise-only prices begin at
$2,099* per person and low-cost air add-ons are available from many North
American gateway cities.

In addition to the new itineraries, Royal Caribbean will continue in 1997 to
offer its current five popular Far East cruises: 14-night "Jewels of
Southeast Asia" round trip from Singapore to Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia;

the Yangtze River; and the 14-night "Gems of the Far East" between Beijing and
Tokyo visiting China, Korea and Japan.
