Romance Is Afloat: Windstar's Sail Ships Named Most Romantic Cruises byPorthole Magazine
SEATTLE, Jan. 23 -- With Valentine's Day on the horizon,
romantic cruisers want to be sure they've selected the proper setting.
Porthole magazine named Windstar Cruises three sail ships -- Wind Song, Wind
Spirit and Wind Star -- the most romantic cruise ships afloat.
"Three identical 148-passenger motorized vessels cruise to some of the most
romantic spots on Earth with pampered service, sumptuous cuisine and an open
deck for star gazing," wrote Porthole.
Valentine's Day will find the Wind Spirit at Virgin Gorda in the British
Virgin Islands, the Wind Star visiting Bequia in the southern Caribbean and
the Wind Song anchored in Cooks Bay off Moorea, a Polynesian island often
likened to James Michener's mythical island of Bali Hai.
Known for its luxury cruise experience with a casual on-board feel, Windstar
has been ranked first for cruise destinations in Conde Nast Traveler Readers'
Choice Survey since 1993 and in Travel & Leisure's World's Best Awards for
1996. Windstar's ships sail the Caribbean, Italian Riviera, Greek and Turkish
Isles, Tahiti and Costa Rica.
