NEW YORK -- May 6, 1997 - Cunard today announced an unusual cross-promotion event of the QE2 with NBC's "The Single Guy" under the heading "The Mother of All Ocean Liners."

Cunard is inviting members of the media to broadcast Jonathan Silverman, star of NBC's "The Single Guy," giving his mom, Devora Silverman, a 3 day Bermuda cruise on QE2.

Cunard describes the cruise as a "Mother's Day present fit for a queen".

The media junket is to commence on Friday, May 9 at 2:30 p.m. to join Jonathan and his mom as they wish all "bon voyage". Camera crews are invited for "tours of the luxurious surroundings in which moms onboard QE2 will indulge."

This event follows a previous announcement that Mr. Silverman would propose to his fiancee aboard QE2.
