Royal Caribbean International & Celebrity Cruises Kick Off AdvertisingCampaigns During Super Bowl XXXII

MIAMI, Jan. 16 -- Royal Caribbean International's and Celebrity
Cruises' $5 million title sponsorship of the Super Bowl XXXII halftime show on
Jan. 25 in San Diego is one of the largest sports sponsorships by a company in
the travel industry.

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity will air two 30-second spots (total value $1.3
million). The Royal Caribbean commercial will precede the half-time show and
will feature a special one-time use Super Bowl ad that is a continuation of
Royal Caribbean International's current advertising campaign by McKinney
Silver. Immediately following the halftime show, Celebrity Cruises will
launch a new ad campaign, produced by Harris, Drury & Cohen. The Celebrity
spot, entitled "Everywhere," will kick off an aggressive television and print
campaign.

"Royal Caribbean's most ambitious sports expenditure to date enables the
company to reach television's largest annual audience," commented Jack
Williams, president of Royal Caribbean International. "We are eager to make
our mark in the sports arena with both consumers and travel professionals to
showcase our recent merger with Celebrity Cruises."

Celebrity Cruises' president, Richard E. Sasso agrees, "We are excited to
launch Celebrity's new campaign to such a wide audience. The Super Bowl
provides the ideal backdrop to show the world the quality of the Celebrity and
Royal Caribbean brands."

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity also will air two co-branded five-second
sponsor billboards, before and after the half-time events. Royal Caribbean
and Celebrity also take title sponsorship of "Behind The Scenes" at the Super
Bowl show. The cruise lines will air three 30-second spots, two spots aired
on the stadiums video screen, scoreboard mentions, a one-page ad in the Super
Bowl program and additional promotional incentives including a "Cruise For
Life" sweepstakes that is being promoted heavily in USA Today and on the
Internet, accessible through

The recently merged Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises
boasts the youngest fleet of any major cruise line with 16 vessels in service
and four ships on order with a total capacity of 38,000 berths by the year
2000. Two 130,000-ton Royal Caribbean International Eagle-class vessels, the

2000. The company offers 91 itineraries and more than 130 destinations
worldwide to Alaska, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, the Caribbean, Europe,
