Bahamas Ministry of Tourism Official Statement on Gay Cruise

NASSAU, Bahamas, Feb. 5 -- Thursday, February 5 the Norwegian
Cruise Line ship M.S. Leeward was scheduled to call at Great Stirrup Cay, a
private island owned and operated by the company in The Islands Of The
Bahamas. Leeward is under charter to Atlantis Events, a travel company based
in West Hollywood, Calif. that specializes in gay vacations.

The government of The Bahamas cleared and allowed the Leeward to enter
Bahamian waters. However, the captain of the ship announced that due to
inclement weather, and the fact that passengers must tender to reach the beach
at Great Stirrup Cay, the port-of-call has been canceled.

"Last year, The Islands Of The Bahamas welcomed more than 3.4 million
vacationers of all ages, religions, races and sexual preferences," states the
Hon. C.A. Smith, Minister of Tourism for The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism. "The
people of The Bahamas do not discriminate against nor judge other people of
the world."

Norwegian Cruise Line's luxury cruise ships have been visiting the
destination for more than 30 years.
