LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., Feb. 18 -- Disney Cruise Line announced
today that it has rescheduled the Maiden Voyage of its first ship, the Disney
Magic, because of construction delays by Fincantieri Shipyards, Italy.

Construction on the Disney Magic fell behind when the ship immediately
preceding it in production became delayed and backed up all subsequent
shipyard construction. Additional delays have further postponed delivery of
the ship.

The Maiden Voyage of Disney Magic will be moved from April 30 to July 30,
and all guests affected by the delay will be contacted by their travel agents
or by Disney Cruise Line directly to discuss alternative cruise dates.

"We regret any inconvenience that this will cause our guests," said Disney
Cruise Line President Arthur Rodney. "We will continue to work with the
shipyard to overcome any problems and to ensure the ship meets its new Maiden
Voyage date.

"We remain committed to launching an extraordinary ship and offering a
cruise experience that meets Disney's high standards of quality and service,"
Rodney added.

"We know that cruise vacationers are anxiously awaiting the launch of the
Disney Magic and we regret that our construction problems, aggravated by
supplier shortages and poor weather conditions, have caused this delay," said
Corrado Antonini, chairman of Fincantieri. "We are committed to producing a
superior quality ship and we will deliver a truly magnificent cruise vessel to
Disney Cruise Line without further delays."

Guests booked on affected sailings will have the option of rebooking another
cruise date at a discounted rate or will receive a full refund.

Disney Cruise Line offers a resort and cruise vacation that combines a
three- or four-night stay at the Walt Disney World Resort with a three- or
four-night cruise to The Bahamas, including a day in the Port of Nassau and
Castaway Cay, Disney's own private island.
