Celebrity Cruises Launches 3-D Sales Tool For Key Travel Partners
MIAMI, Feb. 10 -- Celebrity Cruises will roll out an eye-
catching sales tool this month to 800 travel partners. Celebrity CruiseScope,
a four-foot telescope shaped like a Celebrity ship, will provide customers
with a three-dimensional look inside Celebrity's distinctive public areas and
staterooms.
With the click of a button, customers will be able to step inside the trendy
Michael's Club, state-of-the-art Celebrity Theater, exclusive AquaSpa(SM),
Celebrity five-star restaurant, Grand Foyer, and spacious Penthouse Suite and
Sky Suite.
"Travel agents asked for an attractive window display to capture customers'
attention, and we listened," said Richard Sasso, president of Celebrity
Cruises. "Celebrity CruiseScope incorporates three-dimensional photography,
ship-model engineering and creative brochure-rack design into one promotional
sales tool." Sasso added, "Customers will see the ship model, look through the
view finder, and then want to talk about Celebrity. Our intention is to
create a dialogue between the customer and the travel agent."
Each of Celebrity's 100 district sales managers will reward eight top
producers with the new Celebrity CruiseScope. The agent who most creatively
displays the reward will win a seven-night cruise for two aboard one of
Celebrity's five-star vessels. The winning agency's district sales manager
will also be awarded $500.
A second part of the launch includes distribution of 1,800 hand-held View-
Masters to travel agents. The View-Masters will be delivered in a "Rediscover
Celebrity" package that includes a picture wheel of the same distinct hallmark
facilities as Celebrity CruiseScope and a "Rediscover Celebrity" quiz. Travel
partners who return the quiz will be entered into a grand-prize drawing for a
seven-night cruise for two aboard a Celebrity vessel.
