MIAMI, Jan. 10 -- Celebrity Cruises will transport its guests
to some of the most vibrant and exotic locations in South America this year
with the introduction of "Celebrity Voyages."
Celebrity's latest offering -- its first to feature a full South American
land and sea experience -- will combine visits to Rio de Janeiro, Buenos
Aires, Montevideo, Devil's Island, and more, as well as passage on the Amazon
River, Strait of Magellan, and Chilean Fjords.
In this series of six 10- to 15-night itineraries, Celebrity also offers an
array of shore excursions and pre- and post-cruise Sea & Stay packages,
allowing guests to further enrich their travel experience and customize their
Celebrity vacation.
"Celebrity Voyages represent another major step in our efforts to expand our
global reach and present new and different vacation options for our guests,"
said Celebrity Cruises President, Richard Sasso. "South America's stunning
scenery and cultural experiences, combined with Celebrity's impeccable
service, outstanding cuisine and sophisticated amenities, create a virtual
feast for the senses."
Celebrity Voyages guests will sail on "Mercury," which, like its sister
Celebrity ships, features large open deck spaces and spacious public lounges
that create remarkable venues for viewing South America's stunning coastlines
and lush landscapes.
