Norwegian Cruise Line Announces Plans for Refurbishment of M/S NorwegianSea

- Ship Resumes Popular Texaribbean Cruises January 30 with an Array of New

Features Including an Internet Cafe -

MIAMI, Jan. 20 -- Norwegian Cruise Line announced today that
the M/S Norwegian Sea is undergoing a multi-million dollar refurbishment
project this month. Enhancements range from the addition of an Internet Cafe
to new carpet and upholstery throughout the ship.

Built in 1988, the 1,518-guest Norwegian Sea is the only cruise ship sailing
from the Port of Houston and offers weekly "Texaribbean" cruises to Mexico and
Honduras. The ship has gone into dry dock in Tampa and will resume service
January 30.

"Norwegian Sea has always been a popular ship with new and repeat guests,"
commented Art Sbarsky, executive vice president of NCL. "We are committed to
keeping every vessel in the fleet well maintained and up-to-date with NCL's
high standards of quality to ensure a first-rate cruise experience for our
guests."

In keeping with today's technology trend, NCL guests can now go online while
at sea in the new Internet Cafe. Available 24 hours a day, guests can send
and receive e-mail messages, check the stock market, get news updates, play
computer games and more.

Guest staterooms on all decks will receive new carpet, window curtains,
bedspreads, bedskirts, bedbacks and throw pillows. Audiences will enjoy
spectacular Broadway-style shows in the newly refurbished Stardust Lounge,
which will feature new carpet and new upholstery for banquettes, chairs and
bar stools. A contemporary leather look will also enhance the Information and
Purser areas. Stair towers, landings and corridors on all decks will receive
new carpet, and corridors will also be framed in a fashionably modern
stainless steel.

Enhancements on the Pool Deck include refurbishment of the pool and
jacuzzis, as well as the addition of new deck carpeting and "teak-deck" around
the pool.

Many public rooms are getting a facelift as well, with enhancements
including:
-- new window drapes in Gatsby's Wine Bar and Bistro;
-- new carpet in the Seven Seas and Four Seasons Dining Rooms and the
Observatory Lounge;
-- new curtains and upholstery in Big Apple Cafe;
-- new carpet and curtains and re-upholstered seat banquettes in the
Cabaret Lounge and Boomers Disco;
-- new carpet and new book cabinets in the ship's library,
The Butterfly Room;
-- polished marble areas and new upholstery for chairs in the Beauty
Salon;

Among Norwegian Sea's many features are the Cabaret Lounge, where guests can
enjoy a performance of the Broadway hit "Grease;" the Stardust Lounge; Boomers
Disco; and the Monte Carlo Casino. A wide variety of dining options to whet
any appetite include two main dining rooms, NCL's signature Le Bistro
restaurant, the Big Apple Cafe and Lickety Splits ice cream parlor. Junior
cruisers have their own playroom, "The Porthole," for NCL's "Kids Crew"
activities, and guests of all ages can enjoy the Norwegian Sea's spacious pool
deck, spa and 24-hours per day fitness area.

Norwegian Sea's popular "Texaribbean" itinerary presents a unique blend of
"Tex" and "Mex," with highlights ranging from regional cuisine and
entertainment to tequila tastings of more than 50 different tequilas.
Departing weekly from Houston, Norwegian Sea visits Cancun, Cozumel and remote
Roatan, a world-class dive and snorkeling site off the coast of Honduras with
golden beaches and lush vegetation.
