Seabourn Sun Unveils $15 Million Enhancements

West Coast Among the First to View the Most Luxurious Spa and
Latest Golf Simulator Afloat

MIAMI, Jan. 7 -- After a $15 million refurbishment program,
Cunard Line's 758-guest Royal Viking Sun re-entered service as Seabourn Sun
under the Seabourn Cruise Line banner. She was taken out of service after her
call at Genoa on October 29 and has undergone a complete refit at the Lloyd
Werft GmbH Shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany. The architectural firm of
Tillberg Design designed the plan that refurbished 14 public areas, including
a new Roman-style health spa and expanded golf facilities.

"Royal Viking Sun was designed for longer cruises, offering its guests an
unbeatable combination of exceptional service, fine cuisine, elegant
surroundings and spacious accommodations," said Larry Pimentel, President and
CEO of Seabourn Cruise Line and Cunard Line. "But even the very best can be
made better, which is the philosophy behind our decision to undertake this
comprehensive refit and refurbishment program."

"Seabourn Sun is the perfect flagship for Seabourn Cruise Line," added
Pimentel. "She is really a small ship by today's standards of mega-cruise
ships and rightfully belongs in the Scandinavian tradition and the
contemporary style of the Seabourn fleet. Today, we are joining the honorable
Royal Viking tradition together with the standards for which Seabourn has
become renowned to create the birth of Seabourn Sun."

The Global Resort Cruiser Seabourn Sun, by virtue of her design and
shipboard ambiance, will complement the Seabourn fleet with her understated
elegance. Seabourn Sun's exterior has been re-painted in the Seabourn livery
of blue and white. Her 1999 interior and outside deck enhancements include:

Seabourn Spa du Soleil, Scandinavia Deck

One of the most dramatic elements of the refit is the upgrade and expansion
of the ship's spa to become one of the most sophisticated spas at sea -- Spa
du Soleil. The new spa decor reflects a classic Roman theme with
Mediterranean sculptures, soft colors, and terracotta and mosaic tiles.

The existing entrance to the Beauty Salon has been enlarged to become the
reception area for the new Spa du Soleil. The existing pool has been plated
over to create a space for an expansive cardiovascular gymnasium and
relaxation area, which is dramatically enclosed by impressive glass
partitions. Aft of the glass-enclosed spa, the deck at the center was
extended to accommodate a new swimming area, including a lap pool and two
whirlpools.

The starboard side of the Spa area has been reconfigured to incorporate nine
treatment rooms, including five thalassotherapy rooms, a massage facility, Dry
Float room, Rasul (Oriental Ceremony) room, and a Deluxe Dual Purpose room
(Cleopatra bath). Many of the Spa du Soleil treatments and special spa
facilities are drawn from Middle Eastern, Asian, and European spa practices
that use sea and fresh mineral water to detoxify and refresh both mind and
body.

The Spa du Soleil maintains a fitness center, which is equipped with the
latest toning and cardiovascular equipment and is ideally situated to provide
the added benefit of a spectacular ocean view.

Seabourn Sun Golf Club & Pro Shop, Pacific Deck

Another exciting improvement is the expansion of the existing golf simulator
room that has been renamed Golf Club & Pro Shop and refurbished to reflect a
country club atmosphere. The most technologically advanced golf simulator,
complete with a swing analyzer, has been installed. Guests can choose from
over 20 courses from the Pinehurst Country Club-No.2 to the Mauna Kea Resort
for virtual rounds. The Golf Club also includes an area for relaxing and
conversing and a pro shop, where golf enthusiasts can purchase golf clothing
and equipment and also rent golf clubs for use ashore.

New Putting Green, Sky Deck

In addition, a new Golf Putting Green has been installed on the Sky Deck,
where golf enthusiasts have the opportunity to improve their game on Seabourn
Sun's new professionally designed, 13-hole putting green which extends half
way around the smoke stacks. The putting green accommodates beginners and
advanced golfers and features uphill, downhill and left and right terrain for
breaking putts. This area also includes two new practice-driving cages.

Garden Cafe, Bridge Deck

The seating capacity of the popular Garden Cafe has been increased
significantly from 116 to 224 guests, by creating an outdoor dining area at
the aft end. The area was extended with teak decking to match the existing
deck. This area is protected from the wind to provide the perfect place for
an al fresco breakfast or luncheon. New tables, chairs, floor coverings and
ceilings enhance this popular spot.

The interior area of the Garden Cafe includes new floor covering, new
bulkhead linings of chalked oak, new window treatments and refinished and re-
upholstered furniture in pale red and green custom-designed fabric. To
improve service to guests, a new buffet section and beverage station have been
installed.

Dining Room, Promenade Deck

The present Royal Viking Dining Room has been renamed the Dining Room and
has been extensively redecorated with new carpets and furniture. New drapes
and decorative pilasters have been installed along the windows. In addition,
a new illuminated ceiling with decorative fixtures and crystal chandeliers
adds light and color to the room. Existing brass handrails have been covered
with a solid cherry wood profile. In the middle section of the Dining Room,
the space has been reconfigured to improve the flow, and new low walls with
cherry wood and decorative glass panels now create intimate booth seating.
Existing chairs in the Dining Room have been replaced with custom-designed
chairs in burgundy and green fabric, and new carpet in tones of burgundy and
green have been installed.

In the elegantly refurbished area, Seabourn Sun guests will be offered
complimentary wines with lunch and dinner. One red and one white wine will be
selected daily for this service to match the cuisine offered on the day's
menus.

Midnight Sun Lounge, Norway Deck

The Midnight Sun Lounge has been completely redecorated with new banquette
seating and tables. Existing chairs have been remodeled and upholstered in a
custom-designed blue fabric, and a new permanent bandstand has been installed
at the aft end with an adjacent enlarged dance floor. New decorative drapes
and roman shades have been fitted to shipside windows. Japanese ash panels
with mahogany inlay and decorative moldings have been installed to all walls.
All floor coverings were replaced with custom-designed carpet for the main
area, except for the existing marble dance floor with its extended parquet
flooring. The area around the bar was designed with black granite tiles. The
bar itself was restructured from a circular shape to a rectangular shape faced
with black granite and topped with mahogany. The existing sound and lighting
systems have been upgraded.

Compass Rose Room, Norway Deck

The Compass Rose Room, an intimate area for relaxing and conversing, has
been modified by removing the former Shore Excursions Office, providing more
comfortable seating for guests. New tables and chairs inhabit the space. New
decorative drapes and roman shades have been fitted to the windows. All floor
coverings have been replaced with custom-designed carpet installed in main
areas and a granite and marble design installed beneath the feature crystal
chandelier.

The Photo Gallery, Norway Deck

A new Photo Gallery has been built adjacent to the Boutique, with easy-to-
use displays and a readily accessible cashier's booth.

Shore Excursion Office, Norway Deck

A new, more accessible Shore Excursion Office was built in the location
which was previously occupied by the Photo Shop. To better serve guests, a
new front counter for three attendants with computer reservations terminals
has been installed.

Norway Lounge, Norway Deck

The Norway Lounge has been completely refurbished. New nusswurzel (curly
grain of the tree root) panels with decorative moldings have been installed to
all walls with inset fabric panels in tones of green. All existing brass
handrails are covered with a solid wood profile stained to match the
nusswurzel panels. New carpeting has been installed with a colorful array of
red, yellow, green and black.

In addition to a complete redecoration, a new sound and light control system
will be installed in the Norway Lounge to improve the quality of stage
productions, which include "Somewhere in Time," a musical revue spanning the
decades of this century toward the unknown millennium; "Showstoppers,"
Broadway meets West End in a tribute to some of the best musical past and
present; "Dancing Fools," a revue showcasing different styles of dance; and
"S'Wonderful," a tribute to the Gershwins.

Existing sound and lighting systems have also been upgraded in the Starlight
Theater and TV Studio.

Ibsen Library, Norway Deck

The Dickens Library has been renamed the Ibsen Library with new blue-toned
carpet and new veneered panels to replace the existing door panels below the
bookcases.

Computer Learning Center, Norway Deck

A new Computer Learning Center has been built at the aft end of the Card
Room, outfitted with 10 computer terminals for education, business and
entertainment purposes. New wall treatments and railings have been added, and
custom-designed carpet in blue tones replaces the previous carpet.

Card Room, Norway Lounge

The Card Room itself has been completely refurbished with all walls
featuring new light wood grain panels with decorative moldings and rails. The
area above the panels has been fitted with dark blue custom-designed fabric.
Also added is new custom-designed carpet of blue tones.

Aft Stairway and Landings

Throughout the ship, in stairways, halls and landings, new carpets and wall
treatments create a fresh new color scheme for the ship.

Staterooms

All guest staterooms, on Scandinavian Deck, Promenade Deck, Atlantic Deck
and Pacific Deck, have been refurbished. New carpets, bedspreads and
draperies, along with re-upholstered furniture, complement the new color
scheme of blue, turquoise and red.

Two Penthouse category cabins have been modified to become fully handicapped
accessible.

A new display navigational information system has been added to stateroom
television monitors. The new system displays information on Seabourn Sun's
ports of call and provides information on onboard activities and ship
personnel.

Casino, Norway Deck

The Casino has been completely refurbished and reconfigured. The bar has
been removed in its entirety to increase the floor area, and new mahogany
panels with decorative moldings have been installed to all walls. New
decorative curtains with fixed sheers have been fitted, and existing carpet
has been replaced with new custom-designed carpet.

Added Amenities

When the Royal Viking Sun emerged as the Seabourn Sun, she added some
amenities from the Seabourn brand which benefit the guests.

In the Owner's Suite, Penthouse Suites and Category A staterooms, bars will
be stocked with two bottles of liquor or house wine as selected by guests in
advance. In addition, the bar will contain one bottle of chilled champagne,
bottled mineral waters, beers and soft drinks. In other stateroom categories,
the bars will be stocked with mineral water and soft drinks.

In keeping with Seabourn's policy, gratuities are included in the cruise
fare. The onboard staff will not solicit nor expect tips from guests.

Cunard Line Limited has positioned its eight luxury vessels into two
distinct cruise brands. Cunard Line, one of the world's most recognized brand
names, is the epitome of British essence with its larger ships (Queen
Elizabeth 2 and Caronia -- formerly Vistafjord) that focus on the line's
heritage and tradition, dating back to the 1840s. Seabourn Cruise Line, the
ultra-luxury cruise line with contemporary, smaller, Scandinavian-style
vessels (Seabourn Pride, Spirit and Legend, Seabourn Sun and soon-to-be
Seabourn Goddess I & II, formerly Cunard's Sea Goddess I & II) will continue
to be known for impeccable service, award winning cuisine and luxurious
accommodations.

Seabourn Cruise Line and Cunard Line are members of the exclusive World's
Leading Cruise Lines alliance, which also includes Carnival Cruise Lines,
Holland America Line, Costa Cruises and Windstar Cruises. Together, these
member lines share a commitment to quality and value, offering cruise
vacations that appeal to the widest range of lifestyles and budgets and sail
to some of the world's most exciting destinations. Cunard Line and Seabourn
Cruise Line represent nearly 50 percent of the world's luxury cruise market.
