What's New for Royal Caribbean International in 2000

MIAMI, Jan. 5 -- Royal Caribbean International will sail into
the year 2000 with new and expanded domestic and international itineraries,
the debut of "Explorer of the Seas" -- sister ship to the just-launched
"Voyager of the Seas" -- and a sales organization redesigned to provide
greater travel agent support.

"The new programs and infrastructure position Royal Caribbean International
for the dynamic growth envisioned in the worldwide cruise market," said Jack
Williams, president of Royal Caribbean International.

In October 2000, the cruise line will launch "Explorer of the Seas," the
first cruise ship to boast a state-of-the-art atmospheric and marine
laboratory, with an interactive environmental classroom. "Explorer of the
Seas" will also feature many of the same exciting amenities found on "Voyager
of the Seas," including the Royal Promenade, an ice skating rink, and inline
skating track and a rock-climbing wall, and the highest space-per-guest ratio
in the cruise market.

In spring 2000, Port Canaveral will become the year-round homeport of
"Sovereign of the Seas." Establishing year-round presence at this Central
Florida port will expose the line to the 41 million people who visit Orlando
for vacation each year. With more than 6,000 square feet of space dedicated
to the line's award-winning Adventure Ocean program for children ages 3 to 17,
the ship will also cater to the family vacation market. "Sovereign of the
Seas" offers dedicated meeting facilities, individualized turn-key programs
for the incentive market, and a committed sales and service department that
provide the best mix of design, creativity and service to suit all types of
meetings and incentive programs. With "Majesty of the Seas" replacing
"Sovereign of the Seas" in Miami, Royal Caribbean will double its three- and
four-night Bahamas itineraries out of Florida.

The success of the Royal Journeys program, which was launched November 1999,
has resulted in the introduction of exciting new itineraries on the continent
of Africa for 2000. Expanded from ten to 12 journeys, the 2000/2001 program
allows guests to experience the majesty of African wildlife, explore the
Acropolis, journey "Down Under," travel to the last remaining wonder of the
ancient world, and experience the rich cultural heritage of Southeast Asia.
"Legend of the Seas" will sail to 14 countries, and more than 30 cities in 172
days. The program will feature safari adventures in Kenya, and overnight
excursions in Israel, Egypt, India, Australia and New Zealand. Guests will be
able to disembark the ship in a designated port-of-call, travel to an
alternative destination, and then rejoin the vessel in another port-of- call.

In May 2000, Seattle will become the seasonal home to the 2000-guest "Vision
of the Seas," from which guests can sail five three- and four-night
itineraries with port-of-call at Vancouver and Victoria, British Colombia.
With more than two acres of windows, the ship is ideal for this scenic voyage.
The positioning makes Royal Caribbean International the first major cruise
company to provide shorter cruise vacations from the growing Seattle market.

Beginning in December 2000, "Splendour of the Seas" will sail a first-time
series of South American cruises, with ports of call in Brazil, Argentina and
Uruguay.

To promote these new products, Royal Caribbean International's Sales Vision
2000 continues to boost travel agent support in the field through its
decentralized sales management team and restructured field sales force that
more closely aligns itself with the company's distribution system. Sales
Vision 2000 augments Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises'
sales force, which currently is the largest in the industry, with over 100
deployed sales managers consisting of Key Account Managers, District Sales
Managers, Incentive Sales Managers, and Automation Specialists reporting to
six regional Directors in the United States and Canada. The new program was
timed to support the introduction of nine new ships and 21,000 new berths by
the parent company, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., which began last November
with the debut of "Voyager of the Seas."

Royal Caribbean International is a global cruise brand with 12 ships in
