Royal Caribbean International Expands 'Short Cruise' Itineraries For the2001/2002 Caribbean Season
In "Royal Caribbean International Expands 'Short Cruise' Itineraries For the
2001/2002 Caribbean Season" moved yesterday, June 27, we are advised by the
company that the first paragraph, third line, should read "Monarch of the Seas
and Nordic Empress" rather than "Nordic Empress and Monarch of the Seas" as
originally issued. Monarch of the Seas will offer Western Caribbean
itineraries roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale. Nordic Empress will offer Southern
Caribbean itineraries roundtrip from San Juan. This information was
incorrectly transposed in the first paragraph of the release.
CORRECTED BY PR NEWSWIRE ON JUNE 28, 2000.
MIAMI, June 27 -- Royal Caribbean International will expand
"short cruise" product offerings in the Caribbean next year with new itinerary
patterns. For the first time, Nordic Empress and Monarch of the Seas will
sail a series of alternating four- and five-night Western and Southern
Caribbean itineraries roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale and San Juan,
respectively. Majesty of the Seas and Sovereign of Seas will continue to sail
their popular three- and four-night Bahamas short cruises from Miami and Port
Canaveral, respectively.
"Consumers are looking for variety and choice," said Dan Hanrahan, senior
vice president, Marketing and Sales, Royal Caribbean International. "We're
committed to maintaining our leadership position in the Caribbean cruise
market by expanding our product mix to respond to the needs of the
marketplace."
Market trends continue to reflect the appeal of shorter itineraries,
especially to first-time cruisers. The new five-night product combines the

of added ports of call.
