Commuters Can Take a Caribbean Cruise in the Middle of World Trade Center Path Station; Holland America Line offers New Yorkers

NEW YORK---Jan. 25, 2001--It's January in New York, and that
means a lot of cold, wet and dark days with thoughts of the warm tropical
breezes of the Caribbean -- unless you're in the World Trade Center PATH
station experiencing Holland America Line's "60 Second Vacation."

To give New York and New Jersey commuters a realistic cruise vacation
experience, Holland America Line has constructed a replica of the deck of an
ocean liner, complete with deck chairs and the music of a steel drum band, in
the middle of the World Trade Center PATH station. Busy commuters will be
invited to take a "60 Second Vacation" courtesy of Holland America Line. They
can stop, take off their winter coats and hats, don a pair of sunglasses, and
dream of escaping on a luxurious Holland America Line cruise. Commuters can
enjoy the "60 Second Vacation" today and tomorrow (January 26) from 7:00-10:00
a.m. and from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

Participants will leave with a complimentary souvenir photo of their cruise
experience. Commuters will also have an opportunity to win a free Holland
America cruise by logging on to

Cruise lines know that winter is an ideal time for taking a Caribbean
cruise, and market aggressively to consumers who yearn to escape January and
February in New York. Last week, one cruise line built a small tropical island
in the middle of Times Square. But it doesn't rival the experience of
stretching out on a deck chair, under the sun's wonderful rays, on the deck of
a 5-star cruise ship.

The "60 Second Vacation" is in support of Holland America's new Caribbean
advertising campaign: It's Warmer Where We Sail. From massive 51-foot wide
wallscapes, to eight-foot banners, floor graphics and four-sided kiosks, HAL
has the only corporate advertising in the World Trade Center station for the
full month of January.

"We invite commuters to take a few moments out of their busy day and take a
60 second vacation with Holland America Line," said David Giersdorf, HAL's
senior vice president of marketing and sales. "While it doesn't duplicate the
experience of sailing on any of our 5-star ships, it's a fun way for commuters
to start thinking about booking a Holland America Line cruise."

PATH, the rail transit operating subsidiary of the Port Authority, operates
24-hour service between terminals in Newark, Hoboken and lower and midtown
Manhattan. It transports approximately 260,000 passengers each day, including
nearly 70,000 to and from the World Trade Center. PATH recently received the
Outstanding Achievement Award from the American Public Transit Association --
the nation's highest honor for a heavy-rail transit system -- for the second
consecutive year.

TDI is a diversified out-of-home media company specializing in transit
displays throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. The company has a

the bus market in Great Britain. Additionally, TDI has an array of other
signage opportunities, both traditional and non-traditional in nature. TDI is

operated by Viacom, Incorporated.

HAL's product offerings in the Caribbean have evolved to address the needs
of premium travelers nationwide. For example, they now offer cruise lengths
from five, seven, eight, ten and 14-days; more active shore excursions
including kids-only shore excursions on HAL's private island, Half Moon Cay;
more staterooms with balconies; several dining options including alternative
restaurants, Lido dining and 24-hour complimentary room service; Java Cafes;
late-night comics; and onboard Internet Centers.
