SEATTLE, Jan. 31 -- Visit the Seattle Travel Show Feb. 9-11 at
the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, enjoy the tales of famed Alaska balladeer
Steve Hites and enter to win a free, seven-day cruise for two to the
sun-splashed Caribbean islands.
From "North to Alaska" to luxurious Caribbean cruises, Holland America Line
is sponsoring both key entertainment and the Grand Prize at this year's Travel
Show. Anyone attending the show can enter to win his/her choice of more than
50 different cruises sailing the Caribbean from February through December
2001.
All the seven-day cruises depart from Ft. Lauderdale or San Juan, Puerto
Rico, and call on exotic ports such as Nassau, Bahamas; St. Thomas/St. John,
U.S. Virgin Islands; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Fort-de-France, Martinique;
Georgetown, Grand Cayman; and Playa del Carmen/Cozumel, Mexico.
Those who can't make the Seattle Travel Show can also enter to win the
Holland America Caribbean cruise at any Borders Books & Music location in
Western Washington through Feb. 10.
As the main sponsor of the 2001 Seattle Travel Show, Holland America is also
arranging for Steve Hites, the "Skagway Balladeer," to perform his 30-minute
"North to Alaska" show each day of the event at 2:30 p.m. on the
Borders-Fodor's Travel Stage. Hites recounts the history of Alaska via
engaging tales and songs, performing with both guitar and harmonica.

Hours of the Seattle Travel Show are Fri., Feb. 9, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sat.
10 a.m. to 6 p.m; and Sun. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets (at the door only) cost
$6 for adults and $5 for children age 11 and under.
