Norwegian Cruise Line Chooses Visual Data's CruiseView to Enhance ItsMarketing Efforts
NCL's Entire Fleet to Be Showcased Via CruiseView(TM)
POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Feb. 1 -- CruiseView, a division of Visual
Data Corporation (Nasdaq: VDAT), announced that Miami-based Norwegian Cruise
Line, one of the world's leading international cruise lines, has signed a
contract to showcase its entire fleet via CruiseView's video library program.
The contract with Norwegian Cruise Line marks the fourth leading cruise line
to select CruiseView(TM) as a means of expanding and enhancing their marketing
efforts.
Streaming video tours of each ship in Norwegian Cruise Line's fleet -- video
vignettes showcasing the various decks, cabins, dining rooms, casinos, fitness
centers and other onboard amenities -- will be strategically distributed on
the Internet through CruiseView's extensive network of worldwide travel-,
leisure- and business-related sites, including popular web sites such as:
NBCi, RoadRunner, MyTravelCo.com (TSI), NewRiver Technologies (an affiliate of
Certified Vacation Group,) and Yahoo!(R) among others. The video vignettes
will also be accessible from NCL's own web site (http://www.ncl.com) and
directly at the CruiseView(TM) library (http://www.cruiseview.com).
"Our addition of Freestyle Cruising, coupled with the recently completed
update and expansion of our web site, makes this the perfect time to further
enhance the quality of information available about our fleet via the
Internet," said Andy Stuart, senior vice president of sales & marketing for
Norwegian Cruise Line. "Participation in the CruiseView(TM) program will help
us to reach out to many new potential passengers, affording them an
opportunity to see firsthand why our ships are considered to be destinations
unto themselves, rivaling any of the exciting ports they visit."
"The addition of Norwegian Cruise Line's entire fleet to the growing list of
ships utilizing the CruiseView(TM) distribution program is especially
significant as NCL is also considered to be the first major cruise line to
take their marketing efforts on-line," said David Chestler, General Manager of
CruiseView. "NCL clearly recognizes the value of utilizing the Internet as an
integral component of their marketing strategy. CruiseView(TM) is a perfect
compliment to their ongoing efforts, allowing them to deliver their message in
a more compelling fashion and with greatly expanded distribution that is
highly cost effective."
