Monarch of the Seas Arrives In New Home At Port Everglades
MIAMI, Oct. 8 -- Royal Caribbean International's Monarch of the
Seas, arrived last Friday at her new home port at Port Everglades in Ft.
Lauderdale. The 2,700-guest, 73,942-ton vessel will sail a series of
alternating four- and five-night Western Caribbean itineraries.
"Market trends continue to reflect the appeal of shorter itineraries
especially to first-time cruisers," said Dan Hanrahan, senior vice president,
Marketing and Sales, Royal Caribbean International. "Our new five-night
product combines the "short cruise" appeal of a three- or four-night product
with the desirability of added ports of call."
The itineraries are as follows:
* Four-night cruises depart on alternating Thursdays from October 11, 2001
to April 24, 2003, with ports of call at Key West, Florida and Cozumel,
Mexico.
* Two different five-night itineraries will be offered. Five-night cruises
visiting Cozumel, Mexico and Georgetown, Grand Cayman will depart on
alternating Saturdays from October 6, 2001 to April 19, 2003. Five-night
cruises visiting Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico and Key West, Florida will
depart on alternating Mondays from October 15, 2001 to April 28, 2003.
