Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises Enhance CruisePay
MIAMI, Jan. 29 -- Since its launch in November 1999,
CruisePay continues to receive high marks from Royal Caribbean International
and Celebrity Cruises' travel partners. Travel agents from around the country,
and overseas, continue to experience the benefits of the integrated and
interactive system, which provides same-time updates on balances due, and
allows electronic payments via the Internet. The enhanced CruisePay system now
accepts credit card payments, and makes paying for bookings easier for
agencies with multiple locations.
"We've been successfully using CruisePay for our group bookings for almost
two years," said David Hickey of Boscov's Travelcenter in Reading, Pa. "The
new version allows us to pay individual bookings for 30 branch offices by
logging on just once. Our overnight courier fees are reduced, and we have
increased the timeliness and accuracy of our payment application."
The new system allows agents to charge a client's credit card payment
directly to a booking. After choosing the viewing format, agents can select
the client to whom the payment should be applied, and receive instant
authorization. CruisePay also makes paying for bookings easier for agencies
with multiple locations. Previously, in order for a headquarter agency to make
payments on various branch office bookings, they would access each branch
through separate CruisePay sessions. With the enhanced system, the headquarter
agency can access and pay for a branch's bookings in one easy session.
"Our commitment to providing superior customer service challenges us to find
new ways to make our travel partners' job easier," said Jack Williams,
president, Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises.
CruisePay can be accessed through the Royal Caribbean
(www.royalcaribbean.com) and Celebrity Cruises (www.celebritycruises.com) web
sites within the secured travel agent section, or by going directly to
CruisePay.com. The electronic bank transactions are processed through a
VirtualPay program developed by National Processing Center, which also
provides the Commission Express electronic payment system currently in use by
the company. State-of-the-art encryption techniques are used in every area of
the web site to provide security for all electronic transactions and required
banking information.
