Royal Caribbean International Announces New Benefits for Loyal Guests

MIAMI, Jan. 14, 2002 -- Whether they have taken a single cruise or enjoyed more than 100, guests of Royal Caribbean International are now eligible for greatly enhanced benefits as members of the Crown & Anchor Society loyalty program.

The cruise line has redesigned the program and boosted perks for its loyal and valued customers. There are now three levels -- Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Silver level members from the previous program are automatically upgraded to the Gold level. Guests are eligible for Gold membership in the Crown & Anchor Society after one cruise. Gold members are elevated to Platinum membership after their fifth cruise. Platinum members advance to Diamond membership after their 10th cruise. Guests can enroll at the Crown & Anchor Society site at www.royalcaribbean.com, by calling the Crown & Anchor desk at 800-526-9723 or onboard at the Loyalty Ambassador or Guest Relations desk.

"Our loyal guests not only enjoy their vacations with us, but are some of the strongest promoters of the Royal Caribbean brand," said Barbara Shrut, vice president of Customer Loyalty. "We have created new benefits that give our Crown and Anchor members what they told us they wanted most -- recognition. We make them feel special."

A new "Ultimate Value Booklet," delivered to the stateroom, provides guests with onboard offers and discounts for spa services, casino, bingo, wine tasting and much more. New benefits for Platinum and Diamond members include special rates on balcony staterooms and suites; priority check-in; a private departure lounge; and the waiving of the administrative fee for custom-air requests. Diamond members also receive priority wait-listing for sold-out shore excursions, spa services and dining room seating, as well as concierge services on Voyager-class and Radiance-class vessels.

All members receive the quarterly Crown & Anchor magazine and invitations to a Welcome Back party on sailings of seven nights and longer, and are eligible for member cruises, sweepstakes and special shoreside events.

The enhanced program was launched on January 1, 2002, and a newly created onboard employee, Loyalty Ambassador, was introduced. The ambassador will be available on every cruise to ensure loyal guests receive their special benefits and recognition, and have the best vacation possible. Details on the enhanced program can be found on the Crown & Anchor section on the Royal Caribbean website.
