Royal Celebrity Tours Elects Dennis Brandon to Board of DIrectors
MIAMI, May 30, 2002 -- Royal Celebrity Tours Inc. has elected a fifth member to its board of directors, Dennis Brandon, a tourism and hotel veteran from Anchorage, Alaska.
Brandon joins board members Jack Williams, president and chief operating officer of Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises; Craig Milan, president of Royal Celebrity Tours; Steve Frank, a former Alaska State House and Senate member and resort owner from Fairbanks; and Tom Tougas, an owner and operator of numerous Alaskan travel and tourism businesses from Seward.
"We are very pleased that Dennis Brandon has accepted a position on our board," said Milan. "Our board will benefit from his extensive tourism knowledge and expertise in the Alaska market. We look forward to working with a person of his stature and experience."
Brandon is vice president of Tourism for Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), and president of CIRI Alaska Tourism Corporation (CATC) in Anchorage, Alaska. Previously, he was vice president of Marketing for Westmark Hotels, a division of Holland America Line Westours. Earlier, Brandon was senior medical representative for American Cyanamid, where he received the Golden Oval award for outstanding sales achievement.
Brandon is also vice chairman of the Visitors Benefit Alaska Coalition; a member of the Alaska Tourism Industry Association Marketing Committee; the immediate past chairman of the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce; the past president (twice) of the Alaska Visitors Association Executive Board; a member of the Governor's Task Force on Jobs and Economy; a member of the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts board; co-chair of the Marketing Alaska Board; and chairman of the Winter Tourism Committee.
Brandon is married and has two children and three grandchildren. He holds a private pilot license and 100-ton Masters Coast Guard license.
