Delta Queen Steamboat Company Rehires Industry Veteran Rolf Logan AsDirector of Sales Development

Logan to Focus on Reintroducing Delta Queen Steamboat Company Cruises to

Travel Agents Worldwide

NEW ORLEANS, July 24 -- The Delta Queen Steamboat Company,
America's oldest cruise line, announced today that it has hired Rolf Logan as
its Director of Sales Development. Logan's hiring is part of a multi-tiered
approach to reintroduce the Delta Queen Steamboat Company to the travel agency
and group sales market under its new ownership.

Delaware North Companies, a global leader in hospitality, retail and food
service, recently acquired the Delta Queen Steamboat Company and its three
steamboats, the historic Delta Queen, the Mississippi Queen and the American
Queen. The sale was completed on May 31. Since then, the company has been
focused on communicating to the travel industry that it is full steam ahead
for the three award winning boats.

"We are certainly excited that Rolf has come aboard," said Tom Carman, Chief
Operating Officer for the Delta Queen Steamboat Company. "Rolf has built
quite a network of outstanding travel agency contacts and is a seasoned
professional who will be instrumental in helping us reach out to the
industry."

Logan's main focus will be the development of a new staff of business
development managers. The team will work closely with travel agencies selling
the Delta Queen's unique line of products, trips and tours. The sales team
will focus on the delivery of outstanding service -- a hallmark of the Delta
Queen Steamboat Company.

Logan also plans on introducing a new commission program, designed with a
commission guarantee. The company's guarantee -- that the average commission
earned, per transaction that the travel agency receives as a result of selling
the Delta Queen Steamboat Company, will exceed their own average amount of
commission earned per cruise line transaction.

In the face of shrinking agency commissions by airlines and other cruise
lines, this move is a reflection of the commitment from the company to its
strong and loyal travel agent base.

Prior to rejoining the Delta Queen Steamboat Company, Logan was in the
travel agency business as the owner of It's Your Vacation! Inc. Before
opening his own business, Logan was Director of Field Sales with American
Classic Voyages; Director of Sales Development for Certified Vacations, Inc.-
affiliated with American Express/Delta Airlines Vacations and held several
sales manager positions including Northeast and Western Regional Sales Manager
for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

Logan will be based in the Delta Queen's New Orleans headquarters.

As the oldest continuously operating cruise line in the United States, the
Delta Queen Steamboat Company and its three grand steamboats have long plied
the inland rivers of America's Heartland and the Old South, giving passengers
a sense of visiting a bygone era. Guests can listen to tales of great river
adventures, explore antebellum mansions, Civil War battlefields, significant
museums and the boyhood home of Mark Twain while enjoying award winning
cuisine and entertainment.

The Delta Queen Steamboat Company's vacations have won numerous accolades,
including designation as one of the world's Top 10 Cruise Lines by readers of
Travel and Leisure; a berth on Conde Nast Traveler Gold List; and recognition
as one of the world's top three most senior-friendly destinations by the
Mature Traveler, and also earned a five star rating for its cuisine by the
magazine. The Delta Queen Steamboat Company also received the 1998 "Best
Cruise Value" Award from the editors of Ocean and Cruise News. The company
and its steamboats have been featured internationally in the media for its
unique trips, attention to ensuring historical authenticity and its unmatched
customer experience.

Delaware North Companies, Inc. is one of the world's leading hospitality and
food service providers with two primary groups -- Delaware North Hospitality

Sportservice. The company also owns and operates Boston's FleetCenter and the
