Cathal Armstrong to Serve as Guest Chef on Regent Seven Seas 6/9/08 Charter
ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 18, 2007 -- Cruise Holidays of Alexandria, located at 2161 Jamieson Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia, announced that award- winning Chef Cathal Armstrong will serve as Guest Chef on the June 9, 2008, 10-night Western Mediterranean cruise aboard the Seven Seas Voyager of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
This cruise marks the second culinary cruise in a week announced by Cruise Holidays of Alexandria that is part of the company's "Cruise for a Cause" Program. One-hundred-dollars from every stateroom sold through Cruise Holidays of Alexandria will benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Armstrong owns and is the Executive Chef of Restaurant Eve, located in Alexandria, Virginia.
Aboard this Monte Carlo to Dover, England cruise, Chef Armstrong will entertain guests with his Irish Brogue while hosting two cooking demonstrations and preparing a 5-course menu to be served in the ship's Compass Rose Restaurant.

Chef Armstrong's culinary talents have won wide-spread acclaim. His many awards include Food & Wine's "10 Best New Chefs" of 2006, 2007 James Beard Foundation Best Chef Mid-Atlantic nominee and, most recently, the 2007 Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington's "Chef of the Year" award.
Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Chef Armstrong now lives in Alexandria with his wife, Meshelle, and two children, Eve and Eamonn. In addition to Restaurant Eve, Chef Armstrong is owner of Eamonn's A Dublin Chipper, PX (a speakeasy) and the historic eatery, The Majestic.
