Holland America Line Guide

Holland America Line (or HAL) is a premium cruise line best known for its gracious, attentive service.

The line delivers a high quality product across almost all categories, and in addition to service, HAL is notable for its comfortably-sized ships, fine dining (much improved in recent years), fastidious housekeeping, exotic destinations, and high-quality enrichment programs.

The line is not recommended for those looking for late-night parties, those who feel uncomfortable cruising with an older demographic, nor those who want mega-ship amenities like rock walls.
